Trendsetting and easy-to-use leaflet with register convinces the jury

Faller Packaging has won the German Innovation Award 2022. The specialist company for pharmaceutical folding cartons, leaflets and labels won the coveted award for its leaflet with register. This handy patient information leaflet is organised into subsections so users can find the information they need quickly and easily.

At the German Innovation Awards ceremony in Berlin on 24 May, the broad-based jury of experts selected the leaflet with register as the winner in the “Excellence in Business to Business – Pharmaceuticals” category. Throughout the judging process, the innovative approach and the easy handling of the patient information convinced all the jury members.

Conventional leaflets are often confusing, long and difficult to understand. Once unfolded, it’s also tricky to put them neatly back into the packaging. Faller Packaging has developed a solution: the leaflet with register. It can be printed with the headings required by the European Union, for instance – what the medication is used for, how to take it, dosage, side effects, storage and packaging contents, in individual sections or customised to match the customer’s requirements. In this way, the leaflet provides the best possible guidance. Information can be found quickly, and its compact format makes it easy to stow the leaflet back into its original packaging, facilitating handling and saving time in everyday life.

“We’re delighted with the award and proud that our product was able to prevail,” says Benjamin Rist, Product Manager at Faller Packaging. “This award means a lot to us. The award highlights our commitment to developing practical and convenient solutions for pharmaceutical packaging to meet every possible need of our customers.”

The German Innovation Award was established by the German Bundestag in 2018 and is presented by the German Design Council. It honours highly innovative products and solutions that demonstrably generate added value across all industrial sectors. The winners are selected by an independent, interdisciplinary committee of experts from industry, academia and the financial sector. The award is given in two classes, each of which is divided into several categories. The competition is open to companies from all economic sectors and non-commercial & state organisations worldwide.
