Make your light-sensitive medicines more user-friendly!
Light-sensitive medicines are not uncommon and represent a problem in the stability of medicines that should not be neglected. In addition to the loss of active ingredients, toxic degradation products can also result from exposure to light.
If a medicinal product proves to be light-sensitive, the manufacturer must provide separate instructions for storage in the package leaflet. Light protection can usually be sufficiently guaranteed by the outer packaging. Furthermore, such important information on storage should be given to the patient during the consultation when the medicinal product is dispensed.
To ensure that the user's attention is drawn to the correct storage of the medicinal product, a further indication can be applied to the primary packaging by means of a light indication label. The intelligent label design promotes correct handling and storage, but also ensures the stability and efficacy of the medicinal product.
Placing an irreversible light indicator on the label to alert the user to the correct storage of the medicine. The sensor indicates whether the medicine has already been exposed to too much light.
Printed sensor technology
The sensor is irreversible and changes over once as soon as the drug has been exposed to too much light.
No restrictions in size, shape, branding, text and more! The sensor can be printed on all common self-adhesive materials.
